Hotel Case Study

 

Place a promotion on the home page of your website inviting visitors to text a keyword into Quiext's short code 41513 in order to:

  1. Receive a booking confirmation and/or directions for a hotel, as well as a coupon for a discount on the next booking at your hotel. The guest has the information right on their phone which they will have with them on the road rather than having to print out the page from the website. The coupon also encourages additional bookings at your hotels as well as drives traffic to your website or related services within the hotel. As the guest has opted in, you will have their phone number in your database for future text marketing campaigns.  As most mobile phones these days include web access, the reply text could also include a link to the website for easy access to additional information and suggestions while on the road. The promotion could also appear in displays at tourist points such as airports, tourist information centers as well as in your print and TV ads in order to add distinction to your hotel among other lodging options.
  2. Receive discount coupons for booking meetings/events. After booking a meeting or event, the customer could be prompted to text in a different code and receive a reply back containing suggested add-ons to the meeting or event such as booking a block of rooms or group dinner at a restaurant within the hotel. The reply could include a discount for any additional group bookings. With those opted-in numbers now in your database, you could send future marketing campaigns to keep your hotel brand in front of the guest for upcoming meetings/events. A quarterly message could be sent reminding business guests to book your hotel for upcoming company meetings. A yearly message to wedding guests might suggest an anniversary stay. The promotion could also appear in displays at tourism welcome centers & airports as well as business publications and wedding magazines. The reply could also include a link to the website to encourage online bookings.
  3. Receive a guest club IDs and messages. If you have a frequent stay reward club or something similar, as a guest joins the club, give them the option to text into the short code to receive their identification number and possibly instant reward points (a bonus to those texting in). Having this information on a guest's phone is much more convenient than keeping up with and carrying around a card or page from the website. Also, you can send reward points updates to the club member's phone in the future (a reminder to redeem those points) or alert them of member specials, expiration of points etc.
